This is also how disciple-making movements are born. It's not a one-person, pastor show on Sunday mornings that creates the movement. It's a movement where the person of peace reaches an entire network of people.
When we don't read Scripture with abiding in Christ and surrendering to His Lordship as our primary focus, we fall prey to using the Bible as a self-help book. We strip it of it's supernatural power to transform our lives. It becomes manageable for us.
That thinking won’t create the kind of God-movement that is driven by the heart of God. Events and church growth systems are not the heartbeat of God. If we are going to see a movement of God happen in our time, we need to repent and realign our hearts with the heart of God for lost people.
